What PokeCheck is

PokeCheck is a free, unofficial fan-made tool that reads a photo of a Pokémon Trading Card Game card and looks up its set, card number, regulation mark, and rarity against public reference data, along with plain-language explanations of what those attributes mean.

Not affiliated

PokeCheck is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by The Pokémon Company, Nintendo, GAME FREAK, Creatures Inc., or pokemontcg.io. "Pokémon" and all associated card names, images, and logos are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only for identification purposes.

Informational only

Results shown by PokeCheck - whether entered manually or auto-filled from a photo - are best-effort informational lookups against public reference data. They are not a card authentication, grading, or appraisal service, and should not be relied on as the sole basis for a purchase, sale, or valuation decision. Auto-filled fields from photo analysis are a best-effort guess and may be incorrect - always confirm the details shown before relying on them. Special edition/stamp detection (from an optional back photo) is an advisory note only and does not change the identified set, card number, or rarity.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, abuse protection, or other technical measures protecting the service;
• Use automated tools to scrape or send excessive requests to the service outside of normal, individual use;
• Upload images containing unlawful content or content you don't have the right to submit;
• Attempt to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the service or its infrastructure.

No warranty

PokeCheck is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, reliability, or fitness for a particular purpose. The service may be slow, temporarily unavailable, or changed or discontinued at any time without notice (for example, our free-tier hosting may need to "wake up" after a period of inactivity).

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, PokeCheck, including any decisions made based on its results.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site changes. Continued use of PokeCheck after an update means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Scotland, and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
